Employment and Immigration


We advise our clients on all of employment law as well as on employment aspects of commercial transactions including complex cross border transactions run by our Corporate/M&A team. We advise our clients with respect to employment due diligence, transfer of employees, collective dismissals and related proceeding as well as relocation of employees and immigration issues.

We also advise companies on domestic and international personnel lending, legal requirements and compliance with SECO and local authorities’ guidelines as well as social security and insurance coverages.

We represent employers and employees, including senior executives and directors in all employment dispute and litigation matters before all Swiss courts and in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration, conciliation and mediation proceedings. 

Our work includes structuring of employee and director remuneration and bonus schemes, such as deferred compensation, employee participation (share or stock option plans, etc.) or other schemes.  We also are experienced in employee data protection-related issues, including assistance on data protection issues. We also regularly advise buyout funds in connection with the implementation of management packages designed to incentivize managers of companies under LBO.



We advise on Swiss immigration-related matters with regard to employees from EU countries and non-EU countries and on securing work and residence permits in accordance with the requirements of Swiss law.

Our specialized immigration lawyers advise individuals from the EU/EFTA and third countries on residence with gainful employment, residence without gainful employment, including obtaining a lump-sum taxation (forfait fiscal) benefit in Swiss cantons, residence for educational purposes, or for family reunification.

We handle applications for Swiss citizenship and provide advice on all aspects of these procedures.
